Supposedly the GTX550TI will be 35% faster than an HD5770:

Edit!!
It seems to be a fully enabled GTS450:

This probably means it will be in between an HD5770 1GB and GTX460 768MB in speed.

It seems there's a new graphics card model released every month.
The GTX 550 Ti looks interesting, but by the time the custom cooler variaties appear there will be another new model release announced.
more interested in the performance of the dual gpu GTX 590. GPU model renew quicker and quicker than some years before. Which good for customer to get a gd c/p card with reasonable price.
It seems the GTX550TI is a fully enabled GTS450 with an overclock:

Ha! That would finally make sense of nvidia's decision to run the GTS450 with only 2 of it's back ends enabled: they were sandbagging for the GTX550! Cheeky blighters!
Can't see it making enough difference to catch a GTX460 768MB though: looks like nvidia will have a hole in their 5-series line up - unless they're going to continue producing GTX460s as well, but that would seem a bit odd...
Yet another choice in the DX11 budget card range.![]()
It looks like the card uses a 128bit memory controller:

It looks like the card does use a 192 bit memory controller:

Performance looks to be around the same level as an HD5770 1GB:

Actually the gts450 was more likely to be binned silicon as the 4xx series gave them so many production issues, not surprised that these 5xx are coming out so quick as they are just the 4xx with the silicon issues fixed.
They've not had to put a great deal of R&D in to these, just enough to fix the fab issues with the 4xx.

Do we think the 570 might get a price reduction?
I doubt it these two cards are going ether side of the current range (top & bottom)

Here are some more benchmarks of the GTX550TI:
