    Which vid card?

Well my 9800 PRO is dead, gonna RMA it, if I can get it replaced the plan is to sell it as new and wait for the X800 XT Platinum.
In the meantime though I need a half decent cheap as chips DX9 card.
    Got a FX5200 that pulls 7000 3dmarks but its utter ****e.
So need best performance for least cash.
Was looking at a 9600? any other suggestions?
Like I say I wanna spend as little as possible, just need something that will tide me over.
Running a TFT so need something that will let me game at 1280 x 1024, can turn details down though thats no prob.
    So recomendations?
Ive no preference to manfacturer, just needs to be cheap

9600 128mb is fairly cheap, might be worth a look. Like Dickie, I wish I had that cash! The card I'm suggesting to you to fill in a gap is my main card!

Hehe, I'm in your position mate. Just sold my 9800pro, to add to the vast pile of cash I'm going to need to get an X800XT.

Still, I'm not playing anything at the mo, so I asked a mate if he had anything going spare, and I'm running a VANTA now.

Great little card, if you don't need to play games for a bit.

Anyway, something around the 9600 area sounds about right. Maybe eBay or the for sale forums here? Second hand may do just to tide you over.

Agreed. A 9600 sound about right for that purpose... Good luck with the new card and the RMA
Light travels faster than sound. Is this why some people appear bright until you hear them speak?
