GTX460 gone mental curtousy of evga
just flicking through the pages of the web earlier and came across this
http://www.fudzilla.com/graphics/ite...e-gtx-460-2win
now with it being fud, would normally take it with a pinch of salt. but had a look on evga and found this
http://www.evga.com/articles/00613/
so it would appear that someone has eventually built a dual chip 460 - surprised it took as long as it has. according to evga's benches it beats a 580 . looking at it, it's a bit of a beast of a card and requires 2 8pin pci-e connectors suggesting it maybe quite a thirsty beast. what would be the sense in this really? if others start to manufacture and the prices are not ott - might it not hamper 580 sales?

The dual 460 is a bit of a rip-off IMO. i believe it's going to be around £350 which is more expensive than two EVGA 460SSC which would easily supercede that card and don't require 8 pins.
