So my second question is, when can we expect the PCI-Express versions? I heard Nov but can't wait that long...
If you're coping without it at the moment, and you've still got access to the grant until November, then wait and see what comes up in the meantime. You won't lose out and it's likely that you'll get more for your buck (eg 9800XT sswapping to X800). But if you're impatient then go for the Evesham with the X800 and FX53. It'll still be an immensely capable system for quite a while to come.

umm i play FarCry, and all my games, at 1600x1200.. runs fine

granted i dont use 4xaa and 16xaf, normally 2 and 8 but still, it looks great and gives great fps.

I agree that an X800XT mite have a huge difference, but if you alredy have a 9800pro theres no need to upgrade right now. Its just wasting money, you'd be better off giving it to me insted If everyone did then i could probly afford the BMW M3 i want

Cheers Kushtibari - the application is going in this week in case they run out of funds before Nov (these things are apt to run out). If no grant is forthcoming then I'll come back with a revised spec. - most likely a ZX-81 or a Sinclair Spectrum
