Problem upgrading Dell C521 graphics card to GT 430

    Hi all
I recently bought the GT 430 (from scan) as an upgrade to my ATI X1300, I had to change the bracket to low profile, the problem i'm currently having is I am receiving a black screen whenever I try to start my PC up, I have uninstalled all the ATI drivers and even went into integrated video mode and installed the Nvidia drivers, i'm still getting the black screen though, the monitor isn't registering any signal from the PC, can anyone help?

Can the PCI-E bus handle the power needed by GT 430? It should tell you right next to the slow how many watts it will be fine with.

Re: Problem upgrading Dell C521 graphics card to GT 430

I found that it was a problem with the card itself, the VGA ribbon had been put on the wrong way round now its working and the signal is coming through, i'm going to test some games hoping my PSU isn't going to blow up

The power must have been going through because the fan was spinning, thanks for your help anyways
