6870 Stock Overclock card or Overclock stock card 6870 myself?

Basically I'm looking at getting either the XFX HD 6870 Dual Fan or the XFX HD 6870 Dual Fan Black Edition.

The later is pre-overclocked. The question is, could I easily overclock the non overclocked one to the same settings as the overclocked one without any hassle?

    Thanks

HMM.. its only a 40mhz overclock.. easily then!

your paying the extra for the guarantee of being able to do it though, does the price difference justify that?

    It's £5 difference.

    40mhz is an easy overclock.

Although £5 is nothing i'd go for the overclocked card then overclock it some more

Black edition has 400mhz more on the memory too.

Most importantly if the scan specs are right the 6870 has 24 months warranty the black edition 60 months so no brainer really spend the £5 extra

for a £5 i would grab the black edition, plus a black edition will have alot better resale value if you ever do sell it
