Difference between these 2 GTX 580 cards

Can you tell me the difference between these 2 cards and why 1 requires 2 fans and the other only has 1?

All I can see is the number of fans. I won't be overclocking the card or running it in SLI so is it really worth the extra noise going for the 2 fan model?

This is for a BF3 upgrade if that matters

sorry for the broken links this forum won't allow me to post links until I have more posts :'(

Re: Difference between these 2 GTX 580 cards

They are just different designs. The dual fan cards are normally quieter and cooler but at the expense of exhausting the heat into the case. Some prefer this (like me), others prefer the external-exhausting stock coolers.

Re: Difference between these 2 GTX 580 cards

Got mine with stock cooling, SC version, wouldnt mind throwin accelero xtreme plus ii on it, or if given the choise to start over just go with directCUii, all problems solved. Havin said that DS would be perfect if your airflow is top notch. In my case any would do, as long as front intakes are pushing enough air through, ty-140s or vipers would do the job. Drew both DS SC and SC
