    Basic gaming graphics card.

Building a new machine for my Gf, and plan to use it on occassion for the odd spot of gaming. My 8600GT can play everything I've thrown at it. Is there a card, that can be had for around £30~ or less used. That would be good ?

    E.g. 8800GT ? 8600GTS ?

Just looking for something cheap that'll keep up with some odd gaming. Cheers.

What PSU does the computer have BTW??

You can get a secondhand HD5670 GDDR5 for between £30 to £35. I have one myself and for light gaming seems fine. It is bus powered and has a short PCB.

An HD4830,9800GT or 8800Gt would be faster but they are larger cards which consume more power.

HD4770 would be a good bet also, if you can find one

Can't remember what W the PSU is off the top of my head. Using the case, psu from the existing PC to minimise costs.

Will probably end up buying a new PSU anyway. So requiring more power isn't a problem.
