    Quiet Graphics Card

    Hi i am after a decent graphics card but ideally a fan less one, or one with a very quiet fan..

    What sort of things are you looking to do with it? Browse the internet, watch youtube videos? Or game at 2500x1600? It all depends on what you want. If it's the former, integrated graphics (depending on processor) should be decent and they require no further fans.

    i don't really mind the price, will be gaming with it as well, its just i brought one before and the fan noise drove me mad..

    I've got a Radeon 5750 with an accelero S1 massive heatsink stuck on it. Runs with no fan at all - ever. I did have to hack it up a bit with a hacksaw and bolt-croppers to get it to fit on my card though For a step up, you could probably get an accelero onto something like a 5770 with low speed 120mm fan strapped on - you'd only need to switch it on when gaming.

    Any of the MSI twin frozr series will do you as the reviews all say they are quiet even under full load. You could always use afterburner to turn the fans down at the cost of a little more heat if not quiet enough for you.

    MSI Twin Forzr or Gigabyte Windforce cards are your best bet if you want high-end graphics.

    For mid-range there will be a small selection of fanless cards.

    PowerColor do a silent (i.e. no fan) 6850 apparently
