    GTX 560 Ti - 1GB or 2GB

    Folks,

Been a long time since I've posted here and I'm a bit out of touch with current PC hardware. My old 8800GTX expired recently so I'm after a new graphics card. I've done a little reading and it looks like my budget (£200 max) can get me a GTX 560 Ti and I see Scan are awaiting stock of factory overclocked 2GB MSI models.

Question is, is it worth me getting the 2GB version over the 1GB one? Resolution will be 1920 x 1080 but I like to turn up the eye candy. The rest of my PC spec is as stated in the My System bit - I know it's pretty ancient but it'll be getting upgraded after Christmas. Just need graphics card advice for now please

Not worth it at that resolution IMO. I wasn't even aware that a 2GB version of this card existed, it doesn't seem highly necessary given that at higher resolutions you'd probably want a better card anyway.

    Re: GTX 560 Ti - 1GB or 2GB

Cool, thanks. I gather the 2GB card isn't out yet. I'll go for the 1GB MSI HAWK pre-overclocked version instead.

    Re: GTX 560 Ti - 1GB or 2GB

1gb in compare to 2 gb is not that big difference , i would go with 1gb and safe extra £50
