Re: realtec hd onboard sound conflict

I would check your sound settings, if you arnt using HDMI then check that the primary sound output is the onboard sound.

Right click your sound icon bottom right beside clock and select Playback Devices. You will have 2 or 3 devices. The HDMI audio should just say ready (Icon is a monitor / screen). If you dont use the HDMI audio you can literally just right click and select disable.

You want to make sure that the first option Speakers which will show your onboard sound under it is set to default by right clicking on it then select that option. It will put a green circle with a tick in it once it is set to default.

Re: realtec hd onboard sound conflict

to both answers is that that still doesnt solve it i have reinstalled the catalyst software in custom and not installed the hdmi audio but windows still finds its own drivers for it i have disabled it in sound folder in control panel still no diference i have uninstalled anything hdmi related via device manager still no good whatever i do using the onboard sound in game after 20 mins it still locks the pc up now the other way round using the hdmi sound no lock ups or if i put my sound card in no conflicts if my monitor had a dvi socket i would use that but its only dsub or hdmi
