19" monitor or 17" TFT

Hey guys quick question should I get a

19" Hyundai Imagequest q995 Silver for £145.64inc from Aria

or do I get a

17" Arianet Premium-Plus TFT Silver for £233.83inc from Aria

CRT for gaming.I was going to have a tft but i seen UT 2k4 being played on a tft and i thought my 19" hansol 920p had a better quality picture.Just so damn big tho.

CRT for gamming, with one exception however. If you plan to spend big money on a TFT then the tft can be as good if not better. But in the spending realms of a mere mortal the defo CRT.

A 17" TFT is slightly bigger than a 19" CRT. Well the prophetview is bigger than the mitsubishi diamonpro 930SB ;)

I would say its a little smaller for the TFT. After all, the CRT will more than likely have an 18.1" viewable area thingy :)

Samsung 172X or LG 1710B are both fine for gaming.

Any TFT that is under about £600 is crap for gaming. I've played UT2004 on many and it's awful.

CRT definitely.

Get a 21" CRT mate. Seriously the best piece of computer hardware I've ever bought:D. I got a Cornerstone P1500 for £80, but it's not hard to pick up a cracking 21" monitor refurb or secondhand for less than £200:).

i agree with rave - i jus got a cornerstone P1500 tho i paid £55 as i collected =)

www.accomputerwarehouse (in the refurb monitor section) they are based in stockport so if you live in the good ol north u mite be able to collect yourself. does 1600x1200 @ 85hz with eaze =)

i have a hyundai imagequest q995 which i use for gaming and dvd,s aswell as most other everyday tasks and comparing it to my 18" aoc tft the 19" imagequest is far supperior in all departments and for its price is about the best quality out there,not to mention its very atractive and is rather small for a 19" crt monitor.
