    Question Upgrading a GTX460

Hi I am looking at upgrading my GTX460 768mb Graphics Card, and wondered if you could recommend
    a suitable replacement?

My monitors resolution is 1920x1200 (27.5 inches), and I use my PC mainly for gaming - Wow in particular.

    Many thanks!

Do you really need a replacement? few things first.

Do you just want to upgrade? or is it money to burn XD (this is a good thing) nvidia or ati? both just as good but depends on preference and bang for buck and such, a gtx570 for instance would be a good choice, or a gtx 560TI

    Re: Upgrading a GTX460

Hi Lol wish I had money to burn! No tbh the current card is fine, but I have had it a year now, and wondered if maybe I should upgrade, if there is a significant performance gain to be had?

I guess if not, I will leave things be. As I said before, Wow is the main game played on this PC, and I manage that with most of the high settings enabled.

That said, I will look into the cards you have mentioned to see what improvement to expect.

    many thanks!!

    IMHO,your GTX460 768MB should be fine.

The current 40NM GPUs were more of a stop-gap solution as the 32NM production process was abandoned. In the next few months the newest AMD and Nvidia 28NM GPUs should be launched so I wait and see how they perform.
