Which Graphic Card should I buy?

I currently have a ATI Radeon HD 4650, its start developing problems, my computer crash everytime I watch any type of videos and even flash video. I did memtest and HD scan and there is no report of error. I've installed Windows 7 with the latest drivers and still causing problem.

I am looking for a decent quiet Graphic Card, which one do you recommend? sometime I do a lot video HD encoding/converting (I don't play games). Obviously I want something better than my current graphic card.

My budget is £40 to £50

    - Windows 7, AMD X4 CPU, 4GB Ram.

Your current graphics card might well be overheating - the old fan on it may well be on the way out or your case temps are too high. You could try buying a cheapo 80mm fan and attaching it crudely below the 4650. Will only cost a few quid. Alternatively use Catalyst control centre to underclock you card a bit - that'll cool it down.

When I had a look at graphic card temp from Catalyst control centre, the temp seem normal

Which 80mm fan do you recommend? but must be quiet.

I don't mind buying better Graphic Card for better performance.. which do you recommend.

What is the model number of the PSU and the model number of the CPU?? We need to know if the PSU is decent and whether your CPU might be a bottleneck.

Check on Amazon, they have some uber good deals on HD cards for around £40 - £50. I was going for a HD 5450 (low profile) - £27.50

not quite what your after I'm sure but that's just a rough estimate on what type of deals there are on amazon

    GTX 430 1 gig card

http://www.scan.co.uk/products/1gb-g...d-sub-dvi-hdmi that is a nice all round card, good cooler, good brand, good ram speeds, all three out puts, quite small, uses less than 50w flat out.

    And is bang on £50

    I would look at an HD5670 GDDR5.

What model number is your CPU and what model number is your motherboard??

great card Cat, but surely that is £60? or a tad more.

With a budget of £40 to £50 I take by implication that £50 is the top price.
