yes they are worth it, prolly the best component i bought for my pc. i use it all the time while browsing the net.
i'd recommend the leadtek deluxe. imo they are the best
Are you after a decent picture? Cos the quality is toss I'm affraid :( Unless you get a Digital TV card, but they're not "cheap-ish" :(
as long as its watchable im happy, just saves on buying a tv really
Have a look on ebay, you can get them for about a tenner, especially basic cards.
I have a Hauppauge Win TV FM, thinking of seeling it as I never use it. Its ok if you want FM radio and TV.
And yes a TV licence is required.
If you can afford a little more (£60ish) I'd reccomend the Hauppauge nova-t digital card, excellent picture and capture is in full dvd format. The software isn't the best, but their tech support is fantastic - they replied to my emails within a couple of hours and sorted my problems very quickly and easily as well.
bleh jus get a tv, you can get em cheap now from supermarkets or even a second hand place like cash generator. tv cards are a good idea but i have owned 4 [haupage wintvfm - the pci one - , a USB wintv, a winfast one and some other no-name one] and they have all been crap. plus you cant watch tv and run a ful screen app....i ended up jus gettin a tv and freeview box =)
