    Graphics card to TV problem

Recently installed an Asus 9180 Magic card into my A7N266 VMSE, which I'll be using as a media box.

Anyhoo, I installed the drivers normally, gave it a test with a dvd. Worked nicely on the big telly downstairs (Panasonic something or other). I decided to tidy up the mess I'd made, and unplugged everything, cleaned up the cables a bit, ane when I plugged back in - all video colour was inverted. DivX, dvd, xvid. Looked like photograph negatives.

    Apart from that.. works perfectly.

Can anyone help me find out the problem, please? Might be the S-Video cable connecting graphics card to tv? Although the desktop and everything else is fine. Just the video
    Thanks
    Theo

Check the pins in the cable, make sure you havnt bent any / snapped any off.

Also, unplug the monitor, and leave it pluged into the TV, it will pick the TV up and use that as its primary display. Check the screen when its POSTing (so its pre OS). This will mean you can find out if the problem is windows based, or hardware based (the card, leads ect..)

Thanks chap, after reading that I think it's probably the cable. There were a few pins bent on it, and after trying to straighten them out with a screwdriver, there hasn't been any difference. So maybe they're just out of place or something along those lines. I'll test it with a new cable as soon as I get my hands on one, and post back when I've done that.

    Thanks again.

Did you check it when your first switch the system on in the POST screen so you can say 100% its nothing to do with the OS ?

My first thought is to change the cable. There might be a short in there somewhere that wasn't evident until the cables were disturbed...
