Switching card brands

So, I've got a new card on the way (well new to me), but I'm switching from nVidia to ATi are there any steps I need to do to make sure the transition goes smoothly?

I've always used Driver Sweeper in safe mode, it ensures that your system is squeaky clean of dll's and reg entries.

Swapped many many times.....

99% of the time you can do nothing.....but I do prefer to remove all the previous stuff from "Add/Remove Programs" first.

I use Uninstall Tool which also deletes all refs in the registry :
