Ok.
I've got to pick one of these three graphics cards (I know they're all poor but but my particular situation calls for it).
1) PNY Verto Geforce FX 5200 AGP
2) Creative Radeon AGP 9200SE
3) PNY MMX 440 8X AGP.
I know those arn't the best choices but it's how it's gotto be.
Oh also can anyone tell me which if these cards is most likely to compatible with most motherboards I'd buy new?
How much you spending max? I might be able to source you a better card for the same price :)

Did you not say in the other thread your dad will let you spend a maximum for £75 on his credit card?
I would say dont buy any of those cards, you will be completly disappointed/annoyed that it actually cost you money.
Go and a buy a geforce 4 ti4200 from the for sale forums. There is a ti4600 for sale for £45 that i quickly saw. That will be infinatly better than any of the suggested 3. Buying it second hand you may even be able to pay via bank transfer/cheque/in person. I would say that would be the place to go.

The choice really sucks dosn't it.
There's a couple of places in town I have to check but mainly I've severely limited to £50-£60 and PC World.
I mean PC world have this components section which seems to have opened cards and stuff but none of them are priced. If I go I could be really annoying and ask someone to tell me how much they all cost.
Though I'm not really familiar with any cards except nVidia's GeForce 52-59 and Radeon 92-?? so I wouldn't even know what card I'd be buying.
I'd use the credit card but my Dad's being funny about it all. (Why can't you get one at PC World? Why can't you get one at TLM? Why can't you check the market?) However it's pretty fair considering he's lending me the money.
A Geforce 4 4200, 4400, 4600 and 4800 would be better than any of those three, like the others have said. Your best bet for one of those might be ebay...

I'll shop around and get the best card for my money.
Please mate - dont get a 9200, gf4 mx's, or fx 5200...you will be very very very very very very very very very very disapppointed.

How about your dad places the order by phone or fax that way he doesn't have to use his credit card online.
Savastore (formerly Wattford Electronics) have a 3dconnect 9600 for £61 inc VAT and these guys have been in business as long as PC world but chose the mail order route rather and not highstreet hence lower prices.

Ok - gf4 range:
GF4 mx 420
GF4 mx 440
GF4 mx 460 (highest clock speed i believe -> for the mx range.)
GF4 mx 480 (8x AGP)
GF4 ti4200 (can normally overclock miles, to ti4600 speeds in some cases.)
GF4 ti4400 (ok but nothing really the ti4200 cant do)
GF4 ti4600 (fastest, uses BGA RAM - good card just not dx9 support)
GF4 ti4800 (8x AGP verison of the ti4200)
Basically the ti range is excellent. the mx range is pretty poor, basically a gf2.

look on ebay and grab an albatron ti4680 I have this card, its on ebay for around 45 - 50 now. its a ti4200 core clocked and tweaked to run just over the ti4600 speeds out the box, thenyou tweak and clock it more i have mine running solid and stable at 730/350 on stock cooling its been running like that for a year now.

Ati Radeon 9600Pro 128mb for £75 !!! plus £4 pnp and you have yourself a good little card
Also - you should be able to do phone orders for many big online companies, if you phone them up and explain the situation im sure they will try to help in some way.
