    T & L

Does anyone else find T&L to be a really complex issue.
I didn't know until recently my graphics card wasn't one of the best (Lousy decpetive parents), I don't even know if the card I've got supports T&L.
I do know a lot of the games I want to play want T&L.
So I have a few questions.
    1) How common are games that use T&L?
    2) Can you have a card that supports T&L without having "Hardware T&L"?
    3) Full T&L? What the hell's that?
    4) Which (notable) graphics cards have T&L?

    Thanks.

what card do you have? i think TnL has been in cards since the first GeForce256 card, but i cant be sure (and its early in the morning ) er, if you run 3dmark (2000 or 2001, i'm thinking 2000) you can choose to use hardware Transform & Lighting, or software TnL if the GPU doesnt support it..

not too sure on the actual specifics of T&L tho

Well I'm using an 810e Intel chipset which is so losuy I seriously doubt it.
i'm more concerned with the card I bought for my new setup. After what you said about it being in the first 256 I don't think I have wo worry too much. It's a Geforce Mx 4000.

    edit: Thanks for the PDF.

    XFX Geforce MX 4000 128mb
"SumEvision" (Who the hell are they) Multi channel PCI Sound card.
Standard 56K Modem that I'll probably never use.
Case with a bit missing but it's only superficial.

Don't know if anyone has mentioned but your best place to do your shopping in Leeds/Bradford area is CCL computers. Where Tong Road joins the A65 they are on new industrial estate off the roundabout or take A58 or M621 to get on the A650 and you end up at the same place. Only 10-15mins from PCworld so the other trick is to stand in PCworld and insist on a price match has worked for me.

(look up post code BD11 2PS)

It's not a shop like PCworld just a counter service and you regularly have to wait around for ages for them to pick your order. If you phone through in advance then it can speed things up but more often than not it still takes ages. They are very good with returns and will mostly just swap stuff without question or test it for you.
