    FX5200's

Where do these things fit in the grand scheme of GFX cards?????.

My Shuttle is currently running the onboard GF4 440MXish built into the 42G's, if the TV-O works with the 5200 then I'll prolly stick it in the Shuttle so it'll cope with IL2:AEP for LAN usage...

Well, a 5200 is the lowest spec card they do. Something by ATi would be good for IL2, how much you willing to spend?

Ohh right. Well, it's not that bad. There lowest model but it is better than a 440MX, i used to have one. I'd still prefer my 9800 pro anyday
BTW, what setting do you play IL2 on? And do you use DX or OpenGL?

the 5200 Trig, is a base model...but the Ultra version is alot quicker....quite big jump, like the Pro versions in ATI models.

Which one is it matey? To be fair its worth fitting JUST to free up the SYSTEM MEMORY that your built in one takes.....in that alone you'll see a better gaming result.

Its just a basic FX5200 128Mb thing, s'gotta b better than the GF4 440MX Integrated effort tho, its in now just gonna have a play of CZ and IL2 n then take it home n see if it works on the TV as thats the main thing my Shuttle gets used for tbh...

Will be better but you MIGHT finds its cack for word documents, email etc...some of the cheapo cards have cack filters for the image quality....really bad....most Built in Geforce MX440 cards are pretty good.

Its weird but true...SO...it'll prob be a minor hike in gaming power....mainly cos it has its own memory and gives back the PC its own system memory (dont forget to swap it in BIOS....keep the AGP aperature wide but get rid of frame buffer or whatever its called on yours) but it might suffer 2d quality.

As long as it still does the TVO so I can watch my films off the server on the TV and it plays IL2/CS then I'll b happy, only really thinkin of stickin the card in as A; its free and B; AEP is a tad more GFX intence than plain IL2....
