    1 graphic card vs 2 w/crossfire?

    Hi guys.
Am building my own PC, not a gamer but wouldn't mind having the option to play the odd game if I wanted to.
    Is it better to buy 2 Radeon 6450 1GB cards or a 1GB 6570?
My budget isn't great right now, so was thinking of purchasing a one 6450 right now and buying a second one later on down the line and using crossfire option. But if this won't be as good am looking for suggestions, budget will be no more than £70, preferably less.

Will mostly be doing graphic work such as using photoshop, and web design software.

    Any help is much appreciated.

I can't think of any situation where crossfire would be beneficial to graphic work. Stick with one card - £70 will get you a great card second hand - even £50 would get you something like a 4890 1GB which is powerful enough to play most of today's games on high settings (I'm playing Skyrim at high on a slower 4870 512mb). Or if it's work vital (thus you need the warranty of a new card) a 6670 is well within budget (<£60) and you might be able to get the much better 6770 for £70 as well.

Thanks for the advice. Will look get the 6670 as looks as if the 6770 is outside of my budget.

    Re: 1 graphic card vs 2 w/crossfire?

2 6450s will run like a dog in crossfire, don't even consider it! A 6670 is a good option for a mid-budget card, but if you can stretch to a 6770 I'd strongly recommend it, it's a very big jump in graphics capability for a fairly small additional outlay. If you want a 6670 to be any cop for playing games you really need to go for a GDDR5 version which will be well over £60 - the 6670s at < £60 are GDDR3 and suffer in gaming performance due to the slower memory.
