I have a 275 that is probably worth about £35 second hand?
Looking to play BF3 on full settings without any issues/lag. I have 24" Dell at 1920x1200.
Cheers!

If by no lag, you mean a steady 60fps....then dual 580 or 6970 with AA turned off :P
Take a look at http://hardocp.com/article/2011/11/0...ce_iq_review/1
you will need to spend £250 for that I reckon
Dual 580's, really? Wow.
Yup......but you can also be a bit more realistic :)
My 580 can run high settings with ultra textures and terrain @ 2560x1600 (No AA). I get minimum of 45 but mostly its 55+
And high still looks REALLY nice.
Is there anything for about £200 that will run it nicely?
Isn't 2x580's insane? lol
BF3 is the new Crysis though.
Ultra settings are there for todays insane setups and "some time in the future" sensible setups :)
At ~£200, I would either get a 6950 or a second-hand/1 day deal 6970/GTX560tI-448/GTX570
I thought it ran quite well on my old 275.. the 560Ti looks like the realistic option for me.
I'm not surprised, the gtx275 is no slouch, it was only very slightly behind the gtx460 1gb and 6850
BF3 is a pig on Ultra settings with AA on (remember that HDR distance blur effects still clash with AA best to use one or other not both)
If you're willing to turn the setting down slightly then the gtx275 is still a solid card,
ps it's probably worth £50 2nd hand, at least.
Went for the ASUS GTX 560 Ti in the end.
Did you get a big improvement over the 275? Just curious as I'm ready to upgrade my gtx275eng soonish.
cheers.
I think gtx 560ti is good value at the moment
