Nvidia 3D users - In 'ere now please..
Anyone else having an issue where the 3D type the display operates in reverts back to 3D Discover with the anaglyphic mode rather than the 'real' 3D mode every time you reboot your PC?
I know its not a major issue, but its a right pain especially when you 'forget' and cringe at the redness of the games loading screens.
Re: Nvidia 3D users - In 'ere now please..

doesn't help cos it seems the dude still has it but do you have the USB driver installed?
Re: Nvidia 3D users - In 'ere now please..
USB IR emitter is correctly installed as its glowing green all the time and activates just before my PC springs to life.
It could be down to the latest BETA drivers as you've said as I put them on to play batman with the eye candy on full whack and in 3D.
Ahh well... its another reason for my brother not to use my PC when I'm not around as I always check its settings when the PC is booted ;)

I would after sitting on the fence and being very reserved about it. I only bought in on a whim after looking over the reviews and also having a little play with the technology at work with a few demonstrations when it was still quite new and fresh.
Does it work - In a nutshell yes it does. Different games need to really have different depth settings so if you enable the advanced controls in the drivers, you can adjust the depth in game by pressing CTRL + F3/F4 to get it to the right settings for your brain and eyes.
It's one of those things that you can't sell with words alone as I feel it needs to be seen and played with before you decide to purchase it or not, and that is my advice to most people, if you can get somewhere to have a little dabble with it, you will know after 10 minutes of playing whether its suitable for you or not.

I do agree there, some games are really nice with a 3d monitor.
My main dislike of the current nvidia system is the active shutter glasses, by adding a 60hz flicker it does my head in after about an hour.
Personally I much prefer the passive interlaced systems (eg zalman trimon, although there's a cheaper LG monitor out now) while some people complain about the loss of resolution it doesn't set off headaches for me.
The real big difficulty with 3d is trying to sell it as it's very hard to really know if you'll like it without trying it out.
The nvidia system does gain here, because if you decide against it at least you've still got a good 120hz monitor.
