    SFF gpu

Hi all. I am in the middle of building a SFF PC in a Sugo SG05. I currently have a GT520 1gb which to be honest the fan is a little loud on and is not really suitable for gaming.

Which cheap gpu which will pass audio via HDMI and be quiet would you recommend?

Only looking to spend around £40- £50 which I know is not a lot so would be happy going second hand.

    Many thanks

Loads of older cards which would be great 2nd hand for games, the Sugo SG05 is a little restricted space wise, but not greatly.
Dual slot, full height and up to 9" length

an nvidia gts250 or ati 4850 should fit. (note look for one with a dual slot cooler not the original single slot cooler as that could get a bit noisy

Thank you very much. I will be using the 300w psu that comes with it so will bare that in mind when I look for a card.

    Cheers.

    Re: SFF gpu

Id strongly recommend something like a 5770 or 5750.
Scan currently sells the 6750 for £80

The 5770 sounds good. I used to have one before and seemed to play games pretty well.

Have seen them go for around £40 2nd hand.

    Re: SFF gpu

Another vote for 6770, that's what I got for my wife's SG02 with its limited power, heat and noise requirements. The MSI 6770 we got has a big 4 wire PWM fan so nice and quiet.

The 6770 seems to have replaced the 5770, they are the same so not surprising.
The bit that was surprising was that at Scan the 6770 was cheaper than the 6750.

Indeed - my apologies for not spotting that.

The MSI 6770 is currently on pre-order for £74 from scan.

The XFX model with 2 full games is good value at Dabs, (via HUKD) at £75.

A HD6670 for £40-£50 overclocked they are pritty fast cards. If you do go for one try and get a GDDR5 model tho.
