    AMD must have done a *lot* of testing to tweak the clock speeds that accurately! Given how well they scale I wonder if they'll do a 4890 on it (i.e. they'll invent a 7960 which is just a 7950 with a 925MHz stock clock speed )...?

    Yep, looks highly likely, especially at the top end - they've been building in tools to their cards to give them a lot of flexibility in competitiveness. A tweak of power tune, some binned chips, tighter mem latencies and a shiny driver and bang, you've got something in a new performance tier. We're only seeing the XT and pro at the moment - bring back XTX

    Someone at semiaccurate I think said nVidia didn't have a very happy reaction to seeing the headroom these chips have...
