nVidia busted for viral marketing the kepler?
ROFL! It seems that these Kepler rumors were created by nvidia viral marketers and are not true. All of the currently circulated Kepler rumors originated from a select group of posters at CHIPHELL and spread from there to other sites like Fud. (among others). Turns out the owners/admin of CHIPHELL found out that it was nvidia viral marketers posting lies to slow AMD 7900 sales.
Chiphell uncovered nvidia viral marketers perpetuating kepler rumors: rough chinese translation
Quote:
Many forumss in China all have various articles about Kepler being inexpensive, and speculate performance. Looking at our inside sources, there is no kepler information. All the editors "uncovering leaked" information in the major forums is clearly NV's (Nvidia) PR using the flooder(people who mass comment on forums) army to suppress the HD7900's selling and its lead. I will lock any Chiphell posts, and I hope that any other members reposting [GF104 rumors] will maintain discipline. These rumors that have been posted are unsubstantiate and are from nvidia marketers.

Oh,wait a second he is not around any more!!

TBH,all we know is at some point between 1 to 11 months from now Nvidia will release a card which may/may not be faster than an HD7970 3GB at half/or not half the price!!:p

And by creating a new account on Hexus just to draw attention to it you're really helping.. :/ We already knew the rumours were false.
So blackened. Who are you?
Re: nVidia busted for viral marketing the kepler?
Could Blackened be an AMD viral marketer? ;)
Charlie is still sticking by his story as nothing to do with these shenanigans.

Ooh yeah, almost forgotten about that.
Charlie wouldn't buy into this poo-poo shenanigans (your right, it is fun!) he will have something substantial behind any claims.

Maddie; I think he is sitting on the fence as to not potential harm his information channels.
His current posts include one saying kepler will win back the performance crown; this is difficult to deny as the 7k is not far ahead of the 580 iirc.
the second is an article stating that the pricing is going to be low, they are coming soon but with a disclaimer.

Re: nVidia busted for viral marketing the kepler?
Kepler may be better performance wise.or maybe not.It was kinda obvious NVidia would try to temmpt buyers to wait though, even if it meant lying to consumers, after all they must be pretty concerned that AMD got there so quickly and seem to be doing better with the transition to 28nm.
Dont know why people are so shocked by all this,AMD did the same with Faildozer. Its just the way big buissness operates. The lesson to learn is dont believe anything to you see it.
