PC World/Currys has these or £150 recently.

I would personally recommend the Asus 1GB GeForce GTX 560ti DirectU II, it's meant to clock well and the cooling on the card is fantastic, I have one and it idles at 30 Celsius. However for the price the card you have linked to is a very good value.

The cheapest I can see is:

The Asus 1GB GeForce GTX 560ti DirectU II is a lovely card, have one myself, currently idling at 34c
Dixsons have it for just under £150

I knew it was one of those!

But yeah £150 is an absolute steal.

You could possibly wait for the new GK104...which has been said has similar price as 560Ti, but better than 580..

Re: Asus Nvidia gtx 560 ti Direct cu

I have one, and am able to run games - Wow and Skyrim, on ultra settings, with great framerates.

    Definite recommendation from me!

I have this one - ASUS GTX 560 Ti DirectCU II

Yes it is the overclocked one, at 830mhz.

I purchased it through an Amazon trader, about 2 months ago.

Oh ok I haven't seen that one. The one I have was about £155 in December. They do seem to have gone up a bit in price now.

Camelcamelcamel is good for watching Amazon prices, then you can set it up to alert you when the price drops to one you have specified.

Amazon and Ebay looked very pricey to me, so I have decided to either purchase from scan or Novatech

Re: Asus Nvidia gtx 560 ti Direct cu

Get the one for £150 from Dixons and overclock it yourself, it quite easy.

Never overclocked anything before nor do I know how to do it, wouldn't want to ruin my computer and a nice Gpu

Should I buy a amd 6870 for now while waiting for the next gen of cards to come out which will mean price drops or is there another card worth getting until that time, I only use a 1280 x 1024 screen currently a new one will be purchased in the near future. What do you guys think I should do, I was going to get a GTX 560 ti but with new cards it might be worth waiting. Help me out.

Using that resolution i'd stick with what you have, may as well get your moneys worth from your investment.Maybe upgrade something else if moneys burning a hole in your wallet.

Please try to stick to one thread per topic - makes things rather hard to follow otherwise.

I've merged your threads and a number of your posts to keep things on track - don't make me need to again
