I had a Grandmars 9700 non pro and it was a beauty of a card.It clocked to 320/315 and i only paid £140 for it.I would recomend them!!!!Never had any problems with it whatsoever.HIS are also top cards as well. From what ive read about them anyway. As for brands to avoid there's none really.Just be carefull where you do buy your card from.If you can stretch your budget up to £130 you could get the excellent 9800 pro.

i can second the Grandmars quality thing, they are really good cards from what i remember. PCgamer always used to love em anyway [back when i still read that mag, i gave up on it when they said DX:IW was good]

check the HIS (Hightech) card - some of them have the "arctic coolers" preinstalled - much quieter, and much cooler, probably better clocker....I think they're given the "IceQ" name if that's the case...if you can get a 9800 Pro for £120 like that it'd rock.

edit: note that if it has got the arctic cooler, it'll take up a PCI slot.

Grandmars are a "no frills" manu.
They arnt anything special, but they are fine at stock and have a good reliabilty rate from what ive seen
