Looking to upgrade from my 4870 1Gb. Generally just play MMOs which from what I understand are more cpu demanding than other games?
I have a Phenom II X4 810 2.6Ghz, which is the only thing holding me back aside from the graphics card.
I realise it's going to depend on the game, but what's the best card I chuck into my system before I hit a bottlenec?
Very few games are CPU bottlenecked, so assuming normal gaming resolutions the best card you could chuck in is the HD7970. Not to say you need anything that powerful, but your question was about bottlenecks.
Thanks, that fully answers my question. Good to know I've got the choice up to a 6970, thought I might be limited around a 6870 -the cpu clocks are quite low.
