AMD CrossfireX vs nVidia SLI Scaling (2-Way) Benchmarked
Just put together an AMD CrossfireX vs nVidia SLI Scaling (2-Way) graph for though who are interested in seeing how the two cards scale across different resolutions.
Test Bed:
ASUS Rampage IV Formula Motherboard
Intel Core i7 3960X (Sandy Bridge-E) processor
16 GB Corsair DDR3-1600 RAM
Enermax Platimax 1500W PSU
Windows 7 x64

Interesting, seems to show how useful Nvidias developers really are... basically they're useless in sorting out SLI to a good amount in batman! I was suprised it was so low.
Dont suppose there are numbers togo with this? still waiting for some triple monitor benches.
I think the issue we also have is that Nvidia are using a cheeky tactic with mulitple monitors, the other 2 will be at a lower fps.. in theory its a good idea but in general i think its a shoddy tactic to just appear "better" in synthetic benchmarks than AMD. I think maybe the fps needs to be tracked on all monitors to check the difference.

Thats impressive... wish i had 1.6k to spend on a quad fire setup, still reading but it looks as if AMD crossfire dominates to say the least (trifire doing better than quadsli!).
Edit: After reading that ive come to the conclusion that all Nvidia games (TWIMTBP) are enhanced to hinder AMD multigpu setups considerably, and in most games it seems both companies struggle with utilising more than 2/3 cards. Bandwidth limitations are very clear, in metro Nvidia is winning but as soon as it goes to high detail triple display with AA the fps halfs and AMDs takes a tiny hit, AMD came along way with their cards i must say as it was always the other way round, add AA and AMD would most of the time lose but the tides have turned :P.
It will be interesting to see if its a game design problem or it is drivers that hold both companies back in terms of multicard performance. Another interesting part is the power usage, i thought Nvidia was much better this time but it doesnt appear that way at all, AMD still have the best idea with a multicard setup on idle (i.e disable one until needed) and it shows brilliantly, the in game usage as well isnt that bad as its only about 5 or 10w more than 680, hardly much in it to warrant worrying about anymore :).
