Yes you can but if your pro is a 128mb you will need the 128mb xt bios. The stock speeds of a xt are 412 core 364 mem
have a read of these

You may find an r350 core doen't like running 412 for extended periods - mine tops out about 405 for stability on stock cooler (Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer coming )
I thought only R360 cores could be flashed or am I wrong?
The overdrive facility doesnt work on the 350 core bios flashes.
My 350 9800 pro core maxes out at 445 witha vga cooler but my mem maxes out at around 369.

thanks guys
I think my card will be happy at about 408 core and 380 mem
Is it worth trying to flash the card and if it goes wrong can i flash it back to Pro with no damage?
I think R350 generally fais with XT flashes. You really need an R360 cored Pro to achieve it successfully.
As for R350 not liking more than 412 pah to that! Hercules 9800 Pro 128MB running R350 core - 445 on the core (was watercooled) and a R360 running 465 core

Hey firelord, looking at your sig, i gather its possible to get a X800 Pro and run it at XT Platinum speeds? Sounds like money saving to me!
Ive heard about flashing 9500's to 9700 Pro's
But as I have a 9700 Pro, what can i flash that to?
I'm sure old omega drivers had a soft mod to mod them up to 9800's.I had a 9700 non pro that came up a 9800 after installing the omega drivers.I'm talking nearly a year ago now though.

Only if the X800 Pro happens to be a VIVO, have 1.6ns RAM and not have the contacts cut under the HSF otherwise your probably right out of luck on a simple BIOS flash!
Can't really flash a 9700 Pro to anything but if you use the omega drivers you can softmod (like flashing but far easier to remove and software based) to a 9800Pro

Ive spotted an option called "force 9800 Pro"...
does this work, and is it safe??
Try it if it doesn't work uninstall the driver and it removes it

Yeah but will it kill the card?
I cannot afford to have it die, as my spare GF 2mx 400 wont boot under this environment
