6950 HDMI Audio problem since 12.4

I was wondering if anyone else had been having a problem with HDMI audio since the 12.4 patch, I can't get it to work by disabling the display then enabling it, however after about 2 hours suddenly it will revert sound back to my speakers and the new TAB in Catalyst Control Panel for Audio will say no HDMI audio supported device connected. I have tried rolling back the driver but the problem still happens the new tab is gone but still after 2 hours audio reverts back to speakers.

It is probably my card I have had a lot of issues since I got it from simple cap whine to performance drop that means games run at 10fps until restarted then back to 60fps, unfortunately I can't return it cause I know that Scan's testing will never find these issues as they are rare although getting more common now, also seems to run hot 92deg in Furmark 1080 burn in and refuses to run above 725mhz according to AMD Overdrive tried in a couple of systems too. Might have to bite the bullet and grab a new card.

HDMI handshakes dropping audio are common. Thank Sony for the amazing DRM that does nothing but cause issues.

Try installing HDMIyo and setting a shortcut to activate it.

I thought it was my digital receiver! Glad it's not just me. The only way I could get it to work was by unplugging my hdmi cable and plugging it back in. Did you get a fix?
