ATI vs Nvidia's price...
I decided on the ATI X800 XT... Why you may ask?
http://www.pricegrabber.com/user_sal...&lot_id=732812
$450.00 US! :shocked2:
http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProduc...130-196&depa=1
$589.00 US...
And the winner is.. ATI!!!! I had no idea they were that cheep! Are they this cheep in the UK? And is the Nvidia worth the extra cash? ;) I'd rather save the extra 150.00 dollars...

I think I'm losing the will to live over the whole ATi - Nvidia stuff.
Just look around the web at reviews, benchmarks and prices, then make you choice, and be happy, that whichever card you choose, its going to slice through games like a hot knife through butter.
Doom III is the game of the moment, so Nvidia's cards are looking good; of course, maybe a few months down the road, Half Life II will be flavour of the month, and ATi will be looking good. Then it will change again.
You can't go wrong really; buy one, enjoy playing games on it, and don't obsess over benchmarks, which are always going to favour one card or the other.
I found a nice price on an X800XT-PE, so I'm going for that. If you can find a 6800GT for a good price, that would be a great choice as well; but then, so is the Ultra, assuming you don't mind the required 480w PSU and dual connecters, and the X800pro, dissapointing Doom III benchmarks aside, but then, if you are the sort of person rich enough to buy a card for just one game, you aren't going to buy an X800pro; you'd go for the bleeding edge X800XT or 6800Ultra.
Just make your choice and be happy baby! :D
