Hi. I purchaded a Gigabyte 670 Windforce today, Swapping from a gtx 580 on drivers 301.42, Is it as simple as swap them strait over or do I need to do any reinstallation of drivers?

    Thanks

    Re: Straight swap?

I swapped them strait over and the driver wouldn't load, No problem aftering reinstalling drivers though.

I was thinking it wouldnt really be an upgrade but I was wrong, It's quicker and a **** load cooler and quieter

    cheers

    Re: Straight swap?

Yeah, a simple driver update once you fit the new card should suffice =)

    Re: Straight swap?

Yep, definately would update driver - would never just straight swap without changing driver.

I believe the Nvidia drivers have an option for 'perform clean installation' which should do the trick. Shouldn't need to run any driver cleaners etc.
