    Its a common ebay scam.

You are actually buying a link to a shop where you can buy a 6800GT for $389

Not such a good deal eh?

seen two or three in the last couple of days where folk were up to over £100 bidding for a link they could find on google, obviously thinking they were bidding for the real thing. Some real shoddies about - spot the scam in this one.

That ram scam is ridiculous. Went to the highest bidder for £200. That guy selling the stuff really needs a punch.

Amazing, why the hell don't ebay stop stuff like this.

another one of his auctions ......:

    http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...tem=3689478476

Turns out it was just an XP copy when the guy got them, and if you read right a tthe bottom, muddled into the terms and conditions and not making complete sense, you will see:

'This software is a copy of the original only and no manuals and box are included but the item is well packed and tested before dispatch and thus you should own an original copy of the software to purchase the backups'.

    outrageous !!

If not satisfied you can return the item back to us at your cost and we will be happy to return your money paid for the item ONLY (excluding delivery costs)
followed a few lines later with

NO RETURNS. you must accept the terms and conditions before buying, if you don't accept the terms and conditions please don't consider of buying or bidding on this item.
If it was possible, i wish ebay could check every auction before it goes on to the site.

    Ben

I emailed the guy who bought the ram as soon as the auction had ended so hopefully he never paid out the £200. Can't see it listed amongst feedback so hopefully he got sorted.
