I am still wanting to buy a new graphics card and monitor. I want to get a tft but have heard these aint as good as crt for games?

I also forgot what oem stood for. Some1 told me to stay away from it.

That looks a nice TFT and with a 16ms response time I'd have thought OK for games. OEM = Original Equipment Manufacturer. When applied to a component it generally means that it ships with nothing but the essentials (i.e. in the case of a graphics card, you might get the card, cables and a driver CD but in a brown box with no games bundle, stuff like that). If you can live without the bundle of games and the retail packaging, then it can be a good buy, since it will be cheaper. Some OEM variants of graphics cards have been clocked differently to retail versions, but as long as you've checked the specs carefully, then there isn't a problem. It's a good way to buy if you simply want the card, the whole card and nothing but the card :).

but i have got a (17inch LG LCD flatron L1710B 16ms) and its perfect for gaming
I believe that ATi regularly underclock their graphics cards for OEM, so take extra care to compare clock speeds with the retail versions if you do choose to buy one of ATi's products OEM.
9800XT is a good enough graphics card, not the best but not the worst should be able to play doom3 etc on it nice enough just not at full res and detail
WHat graphics card would you suggest i buy for around £200 and under?
Also what happenes if tft monitors get dead pixels?

Is there a lot of difference between 12 and 16 ms? How come both Resolutions are the same but different MHz?

I can certainly confirm that the 1710b is excellent! Perhaps you should consider a 9800pro rather that the xt. They are much cheaper and not much faster.
