A 7870 for £179 seems a bit of a bargain, what are the implications of this being a 'european model'?

on the listing page that you posted for that graphics card they have 2 comparison links for amazon. one of them is only 18 quid more and sold by amazon themselves.

sounds like a better more secure deal to me.
