Thoughts on integrated gpu on the AMD A8 3870K - Radeon HD 6550D

Title is really self explanatory, I'd like your opinion on the integrated graphics on the AMD A8 3870k.
By the way, I'm not looking to overclock or do anything to it.

It is around HD5550 GDDR5 level overall with 1600MHZ or 1866MHZ DDR3.

However,with newer drivers it is hitting HD5570 GDDR3 or GT440 GDDR3 level performance in many games:

It's pretty good I've got the A6-3670k, which has less shaders, and it manages 20+fps in low detail Skyrim at 1080p. For casual gaming it's more than sufficient. As I said in another thread, go read mine and CAT's reviews of our A6 bundles - lots of useful, real-world information from two relatively normal forum members

Fab for 720p gaming (without max AA_AF) ok for many games even at 1080p although you will have to reduce some settings. but in many ways better than a PS3 or X360. Downside is the A8 isn't as good CPU wise as say a Ivy bridge CPU if you marry it up with a real GPU later. So it's not as scaleable long term, but its way cheaper awesome for HTPC and lite gaming and it does still work if you shove in a 7950 just not as super fast as a more pricey Ivy bridge. Intel may own the top end but the A8 own's the other end right now and it is far better than anything intel have right now for the price (intel IGPs suck harder than a dyson for gaming).

A8 bundles (mobo RAM CPU) with cheap case-psu combos build a decent 720p gaming PC for £200..... If it's true Win8 is £40, then that's a quad core 3GHZ CPU Decent 720p gaming media GPU Win8 and even a SSD to host it all for under £270'ish soon. Same sort of price as a top end I7 and less than a 12 thread i7.

It'll give you gaming performance similar to the Xbox360/PS3. Plus it will crossfire with a HD6670, which is rumored to be the card going into the next-gen consoles, which will give some very performance.

However, if you can wait a few months and increase your budget by a few ££, the A10-5800 looks like a very nice processor and will give you more options with future upgrades (will crossfire with up to a HD7950).
