    ATi 9500 NP busted

Whenever I run 3d applications, or even extensive flash movies, my driver gives a VPU error... saying that the VPU is not following the driver's commands.

Is my 9500 dead? I've tried reformatting, new drivers... and no use. The card is used in a Shuttle SFF and had worked for about a year prior to starting to refuse doing its job.

Tried to softmod, showed artifacts and then I installed the old drivers again.

what make is it? contact them for support, they should be familiar with common problems and give email support for free. its unlikely to still be covered under warranty a fix may be free (eg bios from card maker) or even if repair is necessary you may only be out a small fee plus postage. it wont hurt to ask.
