    Nvidia slashing prices?

According to softpedia, Nvidia is slashing the pricing of their gtx 600 series cards. If true, it is welcome news for anyone who still has yet to upgrade. Personally I think the news should be taken with a grain of salt as it doesn't sound like something Nvidia would do.

    What do you guys think?

    Re: Nvidia slashing prices?

Well they are supposed to be cutting prices for 660 Ti after the GTX 660 launch, and then a second round of cuts in Q1 2013.

Haven't heard of any cuts to 670/680.

Average of $20 too - that's a saving of postage here, depending on site ordered from. Assuming it even takes effect in the UK.

    Re: Nvidia slashing prices?

Performance difference isn't enough to warrant the price gap between the Radeon equivalent. The current 7950 prices must be having a worthwhile effect on GTX 670 sales as well.
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.

    Re: Nvidia slashing prices?

Until the 660Ti is under £200 (ideally under 180) and the 680 is under 330 or so.....then they are all massively over-priced IMO.

And at current prices, that's going to take some slashing to accomplish.
