650 to be faster than the 560Ti?
Kalniel: "Nice review Tarinder - would it be possible to get a picture of the case when the components are installed (with the side off obviously)?"
CAT-THE-FIFTH: "The Antec 300 is a case which has an understated and clean appearance which many people like. Not everyone is into e-peen looking computers which look like a cross between the imagination of a hyperactive 10 year old and a Frog."
TKPeters: "Off to AVForum better Deal - £20+Vat for Free Shipping @ Scan"
for all intents it seems to be the same card minus some gays name on it and a shielded cover ? with OEM added to it - GoNz0.
It seems the GTX650 is around 15% to 20% higher clocked than the GT640 which uses the same GPU. However, look at how much faster the HD7770 is:

GDDR5 on the 650 could make a big difference, and it's priced nearer the 7750, which is "only" 44% ahead (rather than 84%!). From the previews I've seen the GT640 performance is even more game-dependent than the higher-end 6-series (although that doesn't show in the TPU review*), and the faster memory could even some of that out and get it very near the 7750/7770. All the really remains to determine is the power draw and temperature these run at.
I can't see the GT650 being anywhere near the 560Ti, but it might challenge the 7770 with the clock speed boosts and increased memory bandwidth...
*looking through the TPU review it looks like they always test every game with max details/IQ, which is unrealistic for this class of card. It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out when we get full reviews of the 650...
EDIT: OK, having looked around I can't find many 640 reviews, and in the one or two out there it rarely matches the 6750, let alone the 7750. I think DDR5 will make a difference, but perhaps it won't end up being enough to challenge the Radeons...

The HD7770 is around £90 to £100 and the GTX650 is not bus powered either. Hence the HD7770 is what it should be compared against TBH!
Edit!!
Look at the Anandtech GT640 review:
http://www.anandtech.com/show/5969/z...-640-review-/9
The difference between the GT640 and HD7770 is large.
650 has same number of cores(384). TPU managed to get an OC of 902 to 1100 giving a BF3 improvement of 25%. Even at 125% preformance its the same as a 450????
Not really looked as the memory end of things but I can't help feel disappointed.
660 looks good and tweaktown seem to put it up against a 7870.

The 650 could realistically have three times as much bandwidth as the 640, from my calculations/expectations.
When do the reviews for these go up?
Edit: The Aria pages clearly indicate it will be around 80GB/s rather than ~29GB/s where bandwidth is concerned.![]()

BF3 does well on Kepler based cards too,so that means if GDDR5 gives another 40% uplift in framerates it will be around HD7770 level. OTH,with less favourable games it might be less.
Anyway,we will soon find out!!
Ah, ebuyer appear to be quite expensive for 7770s at the minute - didn't realise they'd generally come down to < £100. Doesn't look like 7750 prices have dropped though - which makes it only ~ £10 more for a 7770![]()
And starts on super special, save £3.50!
