upgrade from 570 t0 670

at the moment i have a GTX 570 Sonic Platinum with a good factory o/c.. im thinking of upgrading to the 670.. msi twin fozer o/c which has a healthy o/c as well.. is it worth it and wot are ur thoughts.. thanks in advance..

tpu`s review - its quite a bit faster at times than a GTX 580 ; tpu`s metric places it 30% faster than a gtx 570 and 22% faster than a gtx 580 :D

I went from that 570 to the Windforce 3 670. For a start it is a gazillion times quieter and definitely a good chomp faster.

Hi... Upgraded from an MSI 580 TF OC to an MSI 670 PE myself a couple of weeks back. Hard to justify it really, just got that "upgrade fever". At stock I would rate it in both synthetic benchmarks and real world games as a good 30% improvement at 1920x1080 (though obviously depends on what you play). And if you are into overclocking, you should be easily able to squeeze another 10% out of it using AfterBurner. Use version 2.2.3, rather than 2.2.4... as the latest version locks the voltage to a max of 1.175v... by all accounts this was forced on them by MSI. So moving from a 570 should see even bigger gains.

Quick re-print of my review of the MSI 670 PE on OCuk

Pros:
- 22C idle (I do live in Scotland though!).
- Max temp of 57C after one hour of Heaven.
- Fan noise. What noise. Except on start up when the fan goes into reverse at 100% for 20 seconds (dust removal), it's totally quiet (well to me it is).
Aluminium case sat on the desk about 2 foot away.
- No coil whine.
- Boosts to 1162Mhz solid under load.
- Latest version of Afterburner unlocks three way voltage control.
- Out of the box as fast as a stock 680 GTX.
- Also looks good and feels well made.

Cons:
- At the moment, I honestly can't think of any.

I went from 2 580's to 2x 670's

There is quite a marked difference, especially at the higher end of gaming with AA etc turned on
