Regardless of facebook....how distasteful is it to expect you to destroy a piece of hardware to get it (one that may well be perfectly fine!!)......

Negative comments about how people dislike using facebook, or having to 'Like' brands on facebook and/or sharing the the competition do nothing to encourage more companies to support Hexus by offering prizes. It is those companies and not Hexus that donate the prizes and it is not unreasonable for them to expect to get something in return for their support.

Now somebody that enters this contest will win a great prize (I hope it's me!) but for those of us that don't agree with the T's and C's of the contest and decide not to enter please don't post on here to complain about it, XFX and other vendors can see the competitions being run and if they thought that donating prizes would just lead to complaints then they'd end up giving their prizes to places where they'd be better received.

IIRC it was not that long ago that we had a few competition threads where people were complaining about things like having facebook connected to them or new members winning prizes and then shortly after that the number of competitions being offered slowed down for a while, if vendors stop offering prizes then the competitions might stop altogether

Yeah, I'm rocking an XFX 6990, but I do have a BFG 8800GT knocking around somewhere and this let me down quite badly with serious overheating issues, so I'm trying to think of a fitting punishment for it. I have some ideas but so far they are either dangerous or just far too expensive to try.

FFS you moaning minnies, stop whining like little girls and grow a pair, it seems to me they are trying to give away some expensive kit for doin not too much - please get a grip - all you have to do is come up with a creative idea as a bit of fun - you only have to go through with it if your idea is selected from what I can see. Whether you like it or not, Social Media has become integrated into all aspects of our daily lives, and that includes business - if you don't like it - don't use it or don't enter! Simples. Or better still relax in your armchair with your pipe( or pacifier ) and slippers and sip your hot coco.....
