Oh Dear :)

Wow that really is bad :o
Never had anything quite like that myself i have to say.
Ouch! Can you imagine excitedly opening up the package and finding that? I think I'd literally explode with rage lol
Wow haha. That must have taken some battering in the truck.
Looks like they've sat a palate on top of it at some point - I've had the same thing happen with fixings for furniture - absolutely solid steel fixings crushed by something.
That's crazy.
Would not be a happy bunny if it had happened to me.
Yep, refuse it if you see a damaged box. But in this case, it was a not yet released card, so... don't think MSI has a lot of those lying around :'(
Yes but these things are never as simple are they. Say you bought a card from an online retailer If you refused the delivery, the driver will just shrug and leave then who do you contact? The company and courier company will play blame ping pong for a while and the store you ordered from wont send a new one out til they recieve the old damaged one and it'll be a good week before you get a new one, it just sounds like a nightmare scenario to me mate.
Looking at a delivery box beside me from Scan, the packaging security seal tape has the following wise words printed :
CAUTION
If this tape is broken or the package is damaged check entire contents in front of carrier and sign carriers sheet in accordance with actual condition and quality of contents. It is not sufficient to sign "Unexamined" Written complaint must be made to the carriers and the senders within 48 hours of delivery, otherwise no claim can be entertained.
Maybe the driver was a Nvidia fan boy :)
That is absolutely terrible! How do you even damage a card that badly in packaging.
Looks as though its been dropped from a great height. I'd be very unhappy :(
Except your contract is with Scan so you should not have to have any dealing with the carrier. It also sounds like a rather unreasonable contract so probably would be thrown out by a small claims court should Scan refuse to refund you for good damaged during delivery. Hopefully they would never be that picky though.
Wow. What a bummer for that guy. Spent near £300 and smashed completely by a van. Oh well....at least we have DPD, parcelforce, TNT and UPS to do the job better.
