Custom PC does Doom 3 Benchies
and WHAT A GOOD READ :)
It popped through my door this am and I am GLUED to it :)
They are using DirectX 7 and 8 and 9 cards, and rippin into them when they deserve it for this game , ie GEFORCE 5200 which is a DX9 card gets mashed by the power of the Rad9500Pro :)
It also shows that some of the lowlier ATI cards do considerably better lighting than the Nvidia equivalents, ie a Rad9200 (which for those who dont know is NOT a high end card, its an old core, someone help me on which one please) at similar , if low, frame rates. The 6800 Ultra just pips the X800XT to the post, but.....*cough* the vanilla 6800
