Re: Upgrading 660 to 660 ti
You are forgetting the Ebay and Paypal fees and postage costs. The upgrade is going to cost you more than £50.
Re: Upgrading 660 to 660 ti
No, not at all.
I mean it depends which games you play, but apart from a few exceptions it isn't very far ahead of the 660.
Are you unhappy with the performance of the 660? If so in which games and have you tried overclocking it?

Well obviously I have factored in the postage costs already.

I have tried overclocking it and I am not really very experienced with it to be honest, I have currently got OC'd to + 82 on the core and + 400 on the memory, I really have no idea if that is good or not. As for the games i play I am going to playing Hitman Absolution and AC3 for quite a while I would imagine.

You said you bought the graphics card for £180 and want to get another one which is £227. That is a £47 difference.
Add a registered and insured postage service(which you should use on Ebay) and all the other fees, you are probably looking at around £25 to £35 ,on a £180 sale. OTH,you might not get not get £180 but a bit less as the card is used.
So that means probably at least £70 to £80 for the upgrade.
Looking at the performance difference between the two cards,it is not worth it IMHO.
Re: Upgrading 660 to 660 ti
Yeah that OC seems pretty standard, does that not give you good framerates?
You are running at 1080p I assume?
Re: Upgrading 660 to 660 ti
Yeah given that Scan is selling them for £166 new, I don't see how you could get any more than that selling second hand.
Re: Upgrading 660 to 660 ti
Yes I am running 1080p. The only game that I have really played to any extent since I got the card a couple of weeks ago is Borderland 2 an WoW, BL2 seems to tank to 30 FPS during action even with the Physx turned down, and wow I don't even consider as a reliable benchmark as it is very poorly optimized most of the time.
Re: Upgrading 660 to 660 ti
If you really want to upgrade, it would be better to go up to a 7950 imo:

Or go all out crazy and buy a 2nd 660 for SLI!

I don't really want to upgrade, I was just wondering if I was able to get a decent price to performance out of a more expensive card and the consensous seems to be no, so i think I will stick with my 660 for the time being :P
Re: Upgrading 660 to 660 ti
I've been running Borderlands 2 on 1080p with pretty high settings (not sure what but high) and had no problems with playability. Maybe there is something else wrong, rather than your graphics card not performing.
Re: Upgrading 660 to 660 ti
A 660Ti is a marginal upgrade from a 660, with more cores.. really depends what you are playing but upgrading from a 660 to a 660Ti is probably only like a 5% difference.. not really worth it.
I have a 560Ti 2GB and can max out most games at high settings with solid FPS. An upgrade for you would be a 680. I would just wait until the 700 series comes out.
