Hello, just curious if anyone knows of a the ATI equivalent (or better within the £160 price range) of the Nvidia GTX 660. Any help is appreciated.

    ATI equivelant of Nvidia

Probably a 7950 iirc speed wise, but that might be more than £160.

My 7850 was £150 and that was it on sale.

A 7870 is the equivalent, but you will be lucky to find one for £160.
What's wrong with the GTX 660, the prices on these are fantastic atm.
It's quite frankly the only card where Nvidia actually have a lead on AMD atm.

Scan have the MSI dark knight 7870 for ~£172 on today only (Seems to be on their most days).
    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-m...dvi-i-hdmi-mdp

Also on today only earlier in the week they had the MSI GTX 660 Twin Frozr III for £155 and ASUS GTX 660 DirectCU II for £170.

Check out Cat's thread (here ) as he found a Tahiti LE 7870 with 4 games for £194 which comes very close to 7950 level of performance. Over your budget but depends on if you wanted any of the games that it comes with.

Try and buy a Asus direct CU2 as they can be overclocked very well as there is a lot of temp headroom.

Got my mind set on a 660 don't worry. i was just a little concerned about an AMD CPU with a Nvidia Graphics card. But i asked on another topic and there doesn't seem to be any negative effects. So looks like ill be going for the 660. Thanks guys.

The MSI is really just as good.

As you can see here, the MSI got the best overclock of all 660s tested, although of course nothing is guarenteed.
