    560Ti vs 7850

I can get a used 560Ti 1Gb ranging between £100-130 (same for a 570). Is it money better spent on a new 7850 with a nice 2 year warranty and some free games? Things like Physx aren't really important, just general performance.

    Re: 560Ti vs 7850

The 7850 has a lower power consumption and just abit better than the 560ti in my opinion.

    Re: 560Ti vs 7850

On release the 7850 was faster than the 560 Ti in every title. The 7850 has since had a huge driver-based performance boost. There really is no question: go for the 7850.

A 570, OTOH, was faster than the 7850 at release. However, it draws a lot more power, and again the 7850 has had significant driver improvements. I'd be amazed if the 7850 wasn't as fast as a 570 now. And it's a newer design, and draws less power. Again, IMNSHO, no real contest.

    Get the 7850

Yeah. Now I'm sure there's next to no contest. The addition of a 2 year warranty and 2 free games is an added bonus.

Is the XFX 2GB ok to get? It's £10 more than the equivalent 1GB version...

    Re: 560Ti vs 7850

XFX don't have a great reputation for quality, either of their graphics cards or their customer service. Mind you, that from experiences before they became an AMD shop and started producing decent PSUs, so they might have changed What store are you looking at buying from?

Getting it from scan for £140...sound ok?

Would a Be Quiet 520 or 620W modular power supply be enough to power it? Otherwise there's the non modular Antec HCG....

Is be quiet a good enough brand? Kinda worried if there's a problem and the £50 shipping fees to Germany...

Edit : found it on ebuyer as well, so I'm happy as long as it's reliable.

Sure it'd be enough? Both the CPU and the GPU will be overclocked

    Re: 560Ti vs 7850

Which model specifically, you need to find out which OEM makes the supply for them and that will give you a better indication of its quality.

I'm sure cat will be along any minute with a PSU recommendation anyway, listen to the guy he knows what hes on about

I know that Be Quiet was the no.1 manufacturer in Germany one year.... I'll find out.

Edit : there was a similar question on this forum before : this was recommended instead : http://www.scan.co.uk/products/520w-seasonic-m12ii-520-modular-87-eff-80-plus-bronze-sli-crossfire-eps-12v-quiet-fan-atx-psu
But it had a year warrant, so I think the Be Quiet is my best option

XFX PSUs are produced by Seasonic so the following would also be a good option

Think the 530w Be Quiet modular or the OCZ ZS 550W are the ones to get
