    Hi....

Time for a limited budget graphics card update. Do you recommend Club 3d ATI Radeon 9600XT?

What graphics cards do you have currently?

As far as mid-range cards go, you can't go far wrong with a 9600XT, although these days you may be able to find a Radeon 9800 Pro for an equally good price if you're lucky.

At the moment I have an ATI Radeon 9000. Can't play Doom III on it though

The 9600XT costs 133 Eur + Tax from Germany. That is the highest I can spend at the moment.

I can vouch that the card is very, very good, for it's money. I play all games (well those that can) on 1600x1200 with medium to high details depending on the game and some games with 4xAA and 4xAF on and they run perfectly. But if you can stretch just a little bit more for a 9800Pro, you won't be dissapointed.

:edit: Sorry, mine's an Asus, but the Club3D should do just as well.

Hmm...the budget translates to about £91 sterling, excluding tax. The lowest I've seen a Pro for (excluding VAT) is on lowestonweb.com, £106.38 ex VAT (€156 give or take). That's only about £15 ex VAT difference, or about €22. I'm sure there has to be a European reseller with similar pricing. If you can find one, I agree completely with Allen, it'd be a better buy.
