    One of these:

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-m...dmi-mini-dport

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/3gb-g...-i-hdmi-2x-min

The MSI for around £216 is very cheap especially when you consider the free games too!

    Re: graphics card for £250

was going to suggest either a 7950 or gtx 660ti ; which model specifically is your psu? im tempted to say it might be a little low for your new needs.

btw what did you upgrade from?

    Re: graphics card for £250

I recently had the same dilemma, Very similar system spec too. In the end I went for the VTX3d 7870 Black from Scan, it was about £185. The selling point for me were that is uses the Tahiti chip similar to a 7950 and gives a very similar level of performance, and that I wanted Tomb Raider more than Crysis 3. So I pocketed the saving and am putting it towards a Hydro cooler and a new case.

I get an average 45Fps in Tomb Raider with everything turned up and TressFX on, I get 45 FPS in ARMA3 Alpha with everything on standard and the draw distance right up. I get 120+FPS on war thunder on High, 60+FPS on BF3 with settings right up and 60+FPS playing DayZ with all the settings up.

    I Hope This helps

    Re: graphics card for £250

Yes I got the one you linked to for £216. I have already paid for it now but do you know if it's a good card?

I got a 660ti on release but decided to sell it a couple of weeks ago because I was short on money and did plan on going for the 7970 but I'm still short on money lol

My psu is the xfx pro 550w and I think it's powerful enough to handle the overclocked 7950 in there. I know what your saying one of the reasons I didn't get a 7970 was because I see how much power it draws when overclocked and knew I would need the new psu.

    Re: graphics card for £250

the 7950 is a good and solid card - although IMO the 7870`XT` which gives 90% of the 7950 performance is the best choice , TBH , with the price difference , its not worth changing the order.

    what card you using now?

i had a 7870 and loved it - sadly , circumstances overtook events and was forced to downgrade (but i`ll be back lol) - a 5450 isnt really a gaming card atm

Yes you will be able to tweak the voltage! Although should be able to get a decent OC on the stock voltage

Turns out they been running this scam for a number of weeks where they bait you in with an msi 7950 and then cancel your order trying to sell you the xfx one.
